You probably have some questions !!!

Hopefully I answer them all here

Before The Wedding

  • No, we don’t have to meet first. If you are happy with what you have seen on my website and just want to secure me for your wedding day, then I am more than happy to book over email. Just let me know if you want to book me and I will send you my booking form.

  • When you are happy to book me, all you need to do is let me know and I can send you my booked form. After completion, I require a £350 reservation fee and signature on my photography contract. Then I am secured for your wedding day.

  • Yes, I am fully covered and protected with Liability insurance, professional indemnity insurance and photography equipment insurance with PolicyBee.

If your wedding venue needs my Liability insurance, please let me know and I can send them the paperwork.

  • Thankfully I am not a person who gets ill very easily and have never missed a wedding.

If there was a problem however, I would call upon my large network of wedding photographer friends (who also shoot in the same style as me) and request that they cover the wedding.

You would not be left without a photographer on your wedding day.

  • Included in all wedding bookings I will travel up to roughly 100 miles from Whitstable. Furthering that, I generally charge an extra 75p per mile.

Also, if your venue is more than a 4-hour drive from Whitstable, It is recommended that I stay the night locally beforehand. The Hotel fee would be covered by yourself.

  • I generally work alone. Although, a second photographer can be useful for very large and busy weddings where a lot is going on. Or if you want both bride and groom prep to be fully covered in the morning. Although, if you are both getting ready close by, it is usually not an issue for me to see both of you in the morning.

  • After the £350 reservation fee, the remainder is due 1 week prior to the wedding.

  • For my documentary approach to wedding photography, I do not find it completely necessary. However, If you feel you want to get more comfortable in front of a camera, then a pre-wedding photoshoot will definitely help.

  • Yes I do. The furthest away I have shot a wedding is Mexico.

Just let me know on your enquiry form, and we can arrange a call to chat more.

On The Wedding

  • Yes, absolutely!

Although I am a documentary wedding photographer, I know that people (parents) still want family group photos.

I always get you both to write a short list, usually no more than roughly 15 group shots for the wedding day, so we do not waste time doing anything unnecessary. This typically takes anywhere between 10-20 minutes. I also get you to arrange for someone from either side of the family to help round people up for the photos. This really speeds things up.

  • Although I often take over 3000 photos on a typical 10-hour wedding. After culling down all the photographs, this usually yields over 500 images.
I don’t put a cap on how many photos I give you, so sometimes it could be 600 or more. I just make sure to give you all the best photos.

  • A completely honest and simple answer is, Yes they can!

However, I have only experienced this with inexperienced videographers who do not understand the documentary/photojournalistic approach to photography.

I have worked with some fantastic videographers who I really enjoy working with. and whose work truly compliments my photos. I am more than happy to recommend them.

  • A well-fed (and caffeinated) photographer takes better photos. That’s what I always think. So yes please.

Most wedding venues will be able to hook the photographer up with a hot meal, so please make sure to let them know you would like to feed me.
I don’t have any allergies or preferences, so am happy to eat everything and anything the kitchen can throw at me.

  • Yes, I shoot with 2 camera bodies on my person. So if one randomly stops working. I always have a spare just in case.

  • Yes absolutely. Although I do not believe a wedding should be one long photoshoot, so I would usually only take you both off for 15 minutes, maybe 30 minutes if we are having a load of fun.

There won’t be any awkward posing, or kissing under archways. We will go off for a short walk and create some natural photos showing both your characters.

  • Absolutely. (Although just with advice) I photographed and seen so many different weddings. I know what works, and what doesn’t. You can use me as a little Wiki for your wedding. Just ping me an email if you want some advice on something.

After The Wedding

  • Yes, I aim to give all my wedding 20-30 sneak previews within 48 hours of the wedding.

  • I aim to have all weddings edited and delivered within 4 weeks. Although this can sometimes run over by just a little bit in the height of the Summer when I am shooting a lot more.

  • Yes, absolutely.

Perhaps 30% of my couples buy a wedding album. And most of my couples decide after the wedding if they wish to buy one.

  • Yes, you will receive all your photos in full hi-resolution, either on a USB or as an online download from your gallery.
